So as you may know I live comfortably close to the Dairy Mart downtown. For those of you that are not familiar with it, it is a very small, rather sketchy convenience store at the foot of my humble hill. Recently, my roommate Fogle and I took a trip to the store and saw some interesting things, thus inspiring "Dairy Mart Confessions", which I HOPE will become a reoccurring feature. There also might be talk of explosions at the end...so read this one (ha ha)

Just another day
So today I was awoken with quite a nice surprise: a new stove to be put in my kitchen. I am a tad on the disappointed side, I was hoping that instead, they could just fix my stove which is surely from the 60's. I guess the raccoon was on its period this week..
Through much porch sitting upon move in I have had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of the local neighborhood wildlife. So far i have met Karla the raccoon (who we are told has babies), Eguardo the groundhog with the gimpy tail, a pack of angry crows, and a woodpecker that is destroying my porch, and if I get the chance I'm nailing it with the BB gun (sorry S.Hanshaw).
Settling in, maintenence mahem
Come this year I have escaped the grasp of my apartment complex next to the stadium into the land of home rental. Four bedrooms, two porches, and gardening potential; it is a rickety beauty old as the trees on the hill itself. Unfortunately, the old owners did not appreciate it as much as I do and left it in disarray upon move in.
Welcome
So here we go. I have been recently been inspired to start a blog by a friend who some of you may know as a Ms. Evans, who is blogging about her experience in the great country of Italy. I have always loved writing about my experiences (I was that weird student that enjoyed English in high school) and have always been curious about the blogging world. I am a student at West Virginia University and am a proud Mountaineer. I feel as though I have too many good times and meet too many great people with interesting stories to pass something like this up.
